Pt Bukit Perak was founded in 1959 by Mr. Tahir Gunadi (1929-1996) in Semarang Indonesia. The company started its business from producing laundry and detergent soaps. In 1979 a new automated manufacturing plant was added to improve product variants. In 1986 a new automated glycerine plant was included to process soap lye capable of producing pharma grade glycerine.
